Team Lead, Language Services (Life Sciences)

Location: Home or office based in the UK, Poland, Czechia or Spain; offices listed in Prague, Madrid and Reading.

What you will do

• Oversee a functional team of project and operations staff, including resourcing, onboarding, performance development, staffing and recognition.
• Ensure high-quality, compliant language-services delivery across clinical and pharmaceutical projects.
• Manage complex or strategic projects and act as a senior escalation point when required.
• Develop localization processes, operational systems, tools, checklists and training materials to improve efficiency, consistency, quality and risk mitigation.
• Lead coaching, knowledge-sharing, continuous improvement, client feedback, and operational learning across the team.
• Support strategic client relationships, proposal development, client retention and sales initiatives.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in translation, localization or language-services project management, including team mentoring or coordination.
• Strong expertise in Life Sciences translation, including pharmaceutical, clinical-trial or biotech content.
• Solid understanding of localization workflows, quality-management practices and industry standards such as GxP and ISO.
• Hands-on experience with quality investigations, root-cause analysis and CAPA implementation in localization.
• Advanced proficiency with CAT tools, TMS platforms and structured content formats including XML and PDF.
• Experience supporting strategic client relationships and contributing to sales through solution-focused thinking.
• Ability to coach and develop expertise in localization and clinical content.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, regulated environment with minimal supervision.
