ATE Engineering Team Leader (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of automated test systems and fixtures, including specifications, design, coding, hardware integration, and validation.
• Define test strategies, coverage methods, hardware and software specifications, and interface requirements for production product lines.
• Develop and introduce NPI testers from R&D through mass production, ensuring test-station readiness and sustained production performance.
• Deploy test stations to manufacturing lines, optimize coverage and cycle times, and support contract manufacturers globally.
• Manage subcontractors and design reviews, and collaborate with R&D, QA, and Operations on product release schedules.
• Lead root-cause analysis for systemic failures and improve existing test infrastructure, failure rates, and upgrades.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience managing ATE development engineering teams for multidisciplinary products, including at least 10 years of experience with NPI testers.
• At least 5 years of experience in high-volume production processes.
• At least 10 years of experience with CAD, including Altium or OrCAD, and PLM systems.
• Experience developing PCBA test equipment, including ICT, flying probe, and bed-of-nails hardware.
• Experience specifying, designing, and developing ATE, including test fixture design and hardware-software integration.
• Experience working directly with overseas contract manufacturers and connecting production test results to databases and BI systems.
• Strong collaborative, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
• Extensive experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and DAQs, plus a solid understanding of electronic circuits.
• Deep understanding of Design for Testing and Design for Manufacturing principles, and ability to write development and test specifications.
• Expert Hebrew and English required.
