Engineering Team Lead (AI)

hirify.global is an AI-powered heart-health company building a platform that predicts and prevents cardiac events, serving health plans, employers, vendors, and enterprise clients.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of four experienced backend engineers, setting technical direction, improving processes, and coaching individual contributors.
• Maintain and raise technical quality across client integrations, billing, backoffice systems, and vendor data pipelines.
• Drive the technical design and execution of client onboarding and integration projects.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, and external technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reliable solutions.
• Contribute hands-on through system design, code review, and critical implementation work.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and engineering workflows that improve throughput and output quality.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience leading or managing an engineering team, including coaching and driving technical initiatives.
• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with meaningful depth in distributed systems, system design, production reliability, and complex backend architectures.
• Strong understanding of AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure, including security, performance, maintainability, and reliable operations at scale.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including collaboration with US-based teams and occasional engagement with external technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with complex integration environments, including third-party APIs, data pipelines, or enterprise client onboarding and implementation.
• Strong AI fluency and active use of AI tools to accelerate personal and team workflows.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Node.js or Scala.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployment environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare data integrations.
• Experience working in B2B environments.
