Principal Solution Architect (Electronic Warfare)

Location: North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom; onsite, full-time

Salary: £65,000–£80,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead development activities for cutting-edge electronic warfare systems and supporting tools.
• Use Model Based Systems Engineering to create high-level models capturing requirements, architecture, and design.
• Flow information and integrate workflows across software, modelling, firmware, and electronics engineering teams.
• Define development inputs and verify outputs to support verification, validation, and acceptance activities.
• Work with technical teams and customers to implement architectures and designs throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Previous experience using MBSE to develop complex systems involving software or firmware elements.
• Experience with modelling programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar.
• Strong background in Radar, Communications, Satellite, or Automotive systems exploiting the electromagnetic spectrum.
• Must be a UK National and eligible to work in the UK.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Government SC-level security clearance.

Nice to have

• Systems modelling and architecture experience using SysML and tools such as MATLAB Systems Composer, Sparx EA, or Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Experience with software or hardware architectures, including interfaces, components, and functional or performance trade-offs.
• Experience working on technical bids and with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban, specifically as a Product Owner.
• Experience across the engineering lifecycle, from requirements through acceptance.
• Interest in electronic warfare technologies such as cognitive systems, digital array radars, and neuromorphic processing.
• Experience leading small technical teams and defining work packages for junior team members.
