Senior Antenna Engineer (Radar)

What you will do

• Lead antenna research, development, design, modelling, testing, and technical support.
• Maintain antenna designs, design and test methodologies, technical data, product improvements, and obsolescence management.
• Derive requirements and specifications, and define verification and validation requirements.
• Support Algorithm Research, Systems and Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, suppliers, and customers.
• Support antenna and RF designs, production test facilities, manufacturability investigations, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and manage antenna work packages, estimates, documentation, engineering procedures, and design quality.

Requirements

• Experience with printed and waveguide antenna design and development at microwave frequencies, including practical design and tolerance analysis.
• Experience designing or selecting RF components such as rotary joints, RF filters, splitters, and combiners.
• Knowledge of antenna theory, antenna design and testing, including array, slotted-array, and printed antennas.
• Experience with antenna system design using software modelling packages and familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers and vector network analysers.
• Experience with design for test, design for manufacture, and production environments, including near-field scanning, compact ranges, and anechoic chambers.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with antenna design software, particularly Altair RF and antenna design software.
• Working knowledge of radar or closely related applications and adjacent fields such as radar systems modelling.
• Experience with requirements management or systems engineering.
• Experience using MATLAB, Python, and AI.
• Knowledge of EMC and regulatory compliance requirements such as FCC, ITU, or ETSI.
• Knowledge of high-power RF amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, limiters, circulators, filters, mixers, and phase-locked loops, particularly for RF simulation modelling.
