Senior Solution Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Largely remote, with occasional travel to the Nottingham office and client sites; candidates must possess or be eligible for Security Clearance (SC).

Salary: £65,000–£85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end solution architectures and translate customer, business, operational, and security requirements into technical designs.
• Produce high-level designs, solution descriptions, interface specifications, data-flow diagrams, deployment views, integration patterns, and architecture decision records.
• Design secure information exchange across networks, systems, and security domains, including secure gateways, cross-domain solutions, trust boundaries, and policy enforcement points.
• Integrate software, hardware, network, cloud, and data components; define interfaces and support interoperability testing, technical validation, and acceptance activities.
• Embed secure-by-design, least-privilege, defence-in-depth, resilience, availability, recoverability, and continuity requirements into solution designs.
• Support design reviews, governance forums, technical assurance, supplier design reviews, and collaboration with architects, engineers, security specialists, delivery teams, customers, and technology partners.

Requirements

• Active SC clearance or eligibility for SC is required.
• Experience supporting solution architecture, systems integration, secure information exchange, cloud services, communications, data integration, cyber security, enterprise platforms, or high-assurance environments.
• Ability to translate customer, operational, business, and security requirements into coherent technical designs.
• Ability to define interfaces, dependencies, deployment contexts, data flows, service boundaries, and integration requirements.
• Ability to apply secure-by-design, least-privilege, defence-in-depth, resilience, and assurance principles.
• Ability to prepare architecture artefacts and contribute to technical design authorities, architecture review boards, risk reviews, and technical governance.
• Ability to collaborate with customer technical teams, senior architects, security specialists, software and platform engineers, product managers, project and delivery managers, sales and business development colleagues, and technology partners.
