Manufacturing Engineer (Machining and Lamination)

hirify.global operates a CMP Polishing Pads manufacturing business focused on machining and lamination processes.

What you will do

• Own sustaining and quality assurance activities for commercial products and maintain manufacturing productivity and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, utilization, and process efficiency.
• Investigate manufacturing out-of-control conditions, troubleshoot equipment and processes, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage equipment and process programs, parameters, preventative maintenance improvements, breakdown resolution, and external repair resources.
• Develop and execute Design of Experiment trials, manage new product scale-ups, and lead new equipment installations and qualifications.
• Provide technical guidance, training, certification, mentoring, and periodic on-call support for operations, process engineering technicians, and maintenance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related field, with more than 5 years of experience.
• Experience with statistical software is required.
• Ability to lead root-cause investigations, recognize risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels and across functional groups.

Nice to have

• Experience with CNC processes.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment using programmable user interfaces.
• Experience with manufacturing planning or raw material coordination.
• Capital project management experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
• Experience with Minitab and/or JMP.
