Hardware Engineer (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Design and develop electronic hardware solutions from concept through product release.
• Analyze technical requirements, define hardware architectures, create schematics, select components, and support PCB layout design.
• Support prototyping, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and pre-validation EMC and environmental testing.
• Create technical documentation and participate in design reviews, risk analyses, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, software engineers, marketing, validation, industrialization, and other technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Own technical decisions, resolve complex engineering challenges, and improve engineering methods, tools, and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in hardware or electronics development, including designing electronic products from scratch within complete product development projects.
• Proven experience with EMC, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams, with strong ownership, accountability, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• English at minimum B2 level for communication with international stakeholders, project managers, and business teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with power electronics, AC voltage systems, or electrical distribution products.
• Experience developing products for electrical installation, energy management, protection, or building automation.
• Experience supporting product validation and certification activities.
• Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing and industrialization processes.
