Business Analyst (Private Markets)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working

Salary: €4,500–€5,900 gross per month for 32–40 hours per week

What you will do

• Analyse and structure complex business questions related to private markets and illiquid investments.
• Research market practices and available solutions and compare them with internal solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories for DevOps teams.
• Contribute to the target operating model for private markets as part of a major migration project.
• Develop downstream capabilities such as client and fund reporting and oversee impacts across the value chain.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and collaborate with Investment, Operations, Product Owner, and DevOps teams to implement consistent end-to-end processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Relevant experience with or strong affinity for private markets or illiquid asset classes, particularly private equity, real estate, infrastructure, or investment management.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear insights and solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical, structured, proactive, hands-on, and willing to challenge the status quo.
• Strong command of English; Dutch is a plus.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Knowledge of Dutch.
