Equity Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Remote-first from anywhere in Central Europe or Eastern US; optional office work in London, New York, or Warsaw.

What you will do

• Run the day-to-day equity programme and keep the cap table accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
• Administer grants, vesting, exercises, terminations, settlements, and reconciliations in the equity platform.
• Work with Finance, Legal, People, Tax, Payroll, Talent, and Accounting to implement board-approved equity decisions.
• Support 409A and local valuations, stock-based compensation reporting, and employee questions about equity.
• Build and document processes and controls, automate repetitive workflows, and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering equity in a cap table or stock plan platform such as Carta, including grants, vesting, exercises, terminations, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Experience administering equity across multiple jurisdictions, tracking globally mobile participants, and coordinating with Tax and Payroll.
• Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs, vesting schedules, employee lifecycle changes, and tax-advantaged schemes such as US ISOs and UK EMI or CSOP plans.
• Experience reconciling equity data with People, Talent, Payroll, and Accounting records.
• Understanding of stock-based compensation accounting sufficient to support Finance with US GAAP and local reporting requirements.
• Experience building and documenting equity processes and controls, managing deadlines independently, and resolving discrepancies.
• Clear communication, sound judgement with confidential information, meticulous attention to numbers, and a strong focus on employee support.

Nice to have

• Experience at a fast-growing startup, familiarity with 409A processes, or experience automating equity workflows.
• CEP or similar certification.
• Experience with an IPO process or supporting a transition from private to public.
