Product Design Manager (Design System)

What you will do

• Set design direction, define milestones and measurable outcomes, and communicate design strategy to senior customer and business leaders.
• Lead a small team of product designers working across POS, mobile, web, and operational tools.
• Maintain consistent customer journeys across teams and resolve conflicting designs before launch.
• Run critique and design reviews, enforce accessibility and quality standards, and plan customer validation with success metrics.
• Build shared design-system patterns and manage market and product variations without one-off rebuilds.
• Partner with product and engineering, hire and develop designers, and introduce responsible AI tools into the design process.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio of shipped mobile and web work showing the problem, design decisions, and results.
• 3+ years managing product designers, including hiring, coaching, and career development.
• Experience setting design direction for a product area and leading a team to deliver it.
• Experience running design quality practices such as critique, design reviews, and a definition of done.
• Experience building shared patterns or templates adopted across teams, products, or markets.
• Experience shipping accessible and inclusive products for people with disabilities, people new to digital products, and people using limited devices and connectivity.
• Experience using AI tools in design work and building AI fluency across a team.

• Experience designing for POS terminals.
