Senior Systems Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Lead technical assessments and translate business needs into secure, scalable infrastructure designs.
• Design and implement solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, compliance policies, conditional access, and application packaging.
• Redesign and optimize networks, including firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and CLI-based network tasks.
• Administer Windows Server, Office 365, Azure services, virtualization platforms, and secure server/workstation environments.
• Own Level 3+ escalations through deep troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, remediation, documentation, and repeatable operational processes.
• Create SOWs, support proposals, coordinate account managers, project managers, and clients, and mentor junior and mid-level technicians.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an MSP or high-volume IT support environment.
• Strong experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Microsoft 365 administration and security, and Azure infrastructure and virtual networks.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, AVD, Layer 2/3 networking, VPNs, and firewalls such as SonicWall and Meraki; experience with HP/Dell switches and SonicWall/Fortinet firewalls is relevant.
• Experience with scripting and automation, preferably PowerShell.
• Strong documentation habits and familiarity with ConnectWise.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to explain solutions to non-technical users.

Nice to have

• AZ-104 or higher, AZ-305, CCNA/CCNP, or cybersecurity-related certifications.
