Manager - INNOPAY (Payments Consulting) (Fintech)

Location: Strawinskylaan 381, World Trade Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with colleagues expected to be in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Lead international INNOPAY project teams and coordinate client engagements through high-quality delivery and measurable client impact.
• Help clients address digital transformation challenges and develop open, data-driven business models.
• Apply expertise in Open Finance, data strategy and exchange, APIs, customer journeys, product and service innovation, payment technology, and data and payments regulation.
• Frame complex challenges, guide analysis and problem solving, and translate insights into innovative, pragmatic recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships, lead and develop consultants, and contribute to INNOPAY propositions, publications, and expertise.
• Support business development in the Netherlands by strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience at a top-tier consultancy focused on developing and/or executing digital strategies.
• Extensive experience and deep expertise in one or more of Open Finance, ecosystem-based business models, data strategy and exchange, APIs, customer journeys, product and service innovation, payment processes and technology, or data and payments regulation including PSD2 and GDPR.
• Demonstrated experience leading project teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and a relevant professional network in the Netherlands, with interest in further developing business development skills.
• Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving abilities, including translating complex challenges into practical solutions.
• Intellectual curiosity, interest in exploring digitalization topics in depth, and willingness to challenge own and others’ thinking.
• Fluency in English is required. Dutch proficiency is preferred but not essential.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
• Strong ownership, accountability, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, inclusive leadership, adaptability, resilience, entrepreneurial thinking, and ability to collaborate across diverse international teams.

Nice to have

• Consulting sales experience in the Netherlands.
• Experience across several INNOPAY focus areas, including payments, digital identity, and data sharing.
