Senior Inventory Control Coordinator

Location: Minneapolis, MN; onsite work required during standard business hours

Salary: $24.40–$33.55 per hour

What you will do

• Lead inventory accuracy initiatives, reconciliation activities, cycle count programs, inventory audits, and annual physical inventory processes.
• Investigate shortages, overages, location errors, transaction discrepancies, and inventory variances; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Process and maintain accurate ERP and warehouse-system transactions, inventory data, traceability, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
• Partner with Warehouse, Production, Quality, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to improve material flow, inventory visibility, and storage utilization.
• Develop inventory control procedures, work instructions, KPI reports, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and inventory optimization.
• Train and mentor team members and coordinate inventory support for new product introductions, facility changes, and operational projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–8 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or a related environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, cycle counting, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation required.
• Advanced knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and material management practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvements.
• Strong leadership, training, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 5–50 lbs and stand, walk, and perform repetitive laboratory tasks for extended periods.
• Work authorization must not now or in the future require visa sponsorship in the United States.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• Lean, Continuous Improvement, or APICS/ASCM certification.
