Staff Network Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Set multi-team technical direction and influence cross-functional network architecture decisions.
• Design, deploy, scale, and optimize RoCEv2 data center networks for AI and ML clusters ranging from thousands to more than 100,000 GPUs.
• Implement and tune RDMA congestion management using PFC, ECN, and DCQCN based on production telemetry.
• Build automation, validation, and observability standards that prevent misconfiguration and reduce manual operations.
• Escalate complex network failures, maintain production reliability, and mentor mid-level engineers in advanced troubleshooting and design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience deploying and operating RDMA and RoCEv2 networks in large-scale production environments supporting AI or HPC workloads.
• Advanced knowledge of switching hardware and network operating systems, including Arista, Juniper, and custom SONiC solutions, with high-speed Ethernet fabrics.
• Hands-on experience with congestion management and performance tuning using PFC, ECN, and DCQCN.
• Strong experience with high-speed optics and cabling, including 400G, 800G, AEC, AOC, DAC, and structured cabling at scale.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, and production observability tooling.
• Ability to solve complex, novel problems autonomously and translate architectural goals into executable project plans.
