Network Engineer (Hybrid Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, implement, document, and maintain network solutions and architectures for physical datacenters, branches, hybrid cloud environments, and retail stores.
• Provide operational support for the client’s global network and collaborate with IT Operations teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis and participate in postmortems to drive long-term improvements.
• Analyze network processes and recommend or implement improvements to security, scalability, performance, availability, and execution efficiency.
• Participate in software, hardware, and support-license tracking and purchasing.
• Join an on-call rotation and perform after-hours work to support network availability and incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years supporting enterprise-level hybrid cloud networks, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of OSI model network protocols.
• Experience in a DevOps or NetDevOps environment using Ansible, Terraform, Python, Git, XML, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto platforms and their operating and management systems.
• Ability to create clear, organized network diagrams in Visio and Lucidchart.
• Understanding of wireless communication challenges and opportunities, including spectrum management and mobile security.
• Experience with POS and mPOS system security requirements.
• Working experience with PCI/DSS, SOX, and other network security standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, time-management, communication, collaboration, independent-working, and continuous-learning skills.
• Must be able to lift PC equipment and install network cabling and systems, including work requiring bending or crouching in small areas.
