SQL Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize complex Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Provide advanced support for mission-critical systems, ensuring security, integrity, high availability, and reliability.
• Lead database and query performance-tuning initiatives, including troubleshooting application-to-database connectivity.
• Manage backup, restore, refresh, migration, schema changes, SQL Agent jobs, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, roles, and permissions.
• Execute controlled production changes and SQL data fixes across development, SIT, UAT, conversion, and production environments.
• Collaborate across teams on scalable database architecture, ETL/data integration, and large-scale data conversion under time-critical implementation and cutover conditions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an SQL Database Administrator, including strong Microsoft SQL Server administration and application DBA experience.
• Advanced T-SQL skills and experience with stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, SQL Agent jobs, and scheduled processing.
• Experience with backup, restore, database refresh, database/schema migration, large-scale data movement, and data conversion.
• Experience with SQL security, roles and permissions, query and database performance troubleshooting, and application-to-database connectivity.
• Experience supporting ETL/data integration and working across DEV, SIT, UAT, conversion, and production environments.
• Experience executing controlled production changes and SQL data fixes.
• Ability to troubleshoot under time-critical implementation and cutover conditions while working with minimal supervision.
• Medicaid/MMIS or PBM implementation experience.
• Experience working in healthcare PII/PHI environments.
