Lab Services Admin (UNIX/Linux)

Location: Onsite at the HPE office in Sunnyvale, California, 94089, United States

Base salary: USD 35.72–72.36 per hour in California.

What you will do

• Maintain engineering labs and independently resolve a large volume of support tickets.
• Install network and computer equipment and reinstall software on lab devices.
• Add devices to the lab database and troubleshoot or replace faulty hardware.
• Build, modify, and document device topologies.
• Build and deploy virtual machines using Proxmox or ESX vCenter.
• Support existing lab software tools and create new tools; provide guidance and mentoring to Lab Administrators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience within labs is required.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX, including FreeBSD, and Linux, including RHEL/CentOS.
• Strong knowledge of Perl or Python, TCP/IP, and VMware ESX administration.
• Ability to work onsite primarily from the HPE office in Sunnyvale, California.
