Contractor Program Security Officer (Space Security)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global headquarters in Long Beach, California; must be located within or relocate to a 60-minute commute of the facility and respond to after-hours alarms or on-call assignments.

Base pay range: $88,000–$110,000 USD annually in California.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contractor security liaison for assigned Department of War and Intelligence Community programs.
• Manage compliance with NISPOM, SAP, SCI, ICD, and other government security directives.
• Develop and enforce security plans protecting classified and unclassified launch vehicles, space vehicles, hardware, and program operations through manufacturing, transport, integration, and launch.
• Maintain accreditation and compliance for SAPFs, SCIFs, and closed areas, coordinating construction, modification, and facility security activities.
• Conduct physical security surveys, risk assessments, inspections, incident inquiries, self-inspections, training, and corrective actions.
• Perform personnel security, classified material and COMSEC control, visit requests, DD Form 254 reviews, courier duties, proposal support, and indirect staff supervision.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Tier 5 investigation and active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, as required by program sponsors.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), SAP, SCI, and related security regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 5+ years of related work experience, or equivalent education, certification, and work experience.
• Must be located within or relocate to a 60-minute commute of the facility.
• Must be able to respond to and investigate after-hours alarms or on-call assignments when necessary.
• Ability to travel in support of other locations or programs when required.

Nice to have

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with senior leaders, personnel, customers, and external stakeholders.
• Experience with FOCI mitigation, Technology Control Plans, Electronic Communications Plans, and Annual Implementation Reports.
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, NISS, TALON/SCT, SIMS, JADE, and similar systems of record.
• Experience as a COMSEC account manager, and with program protection strategies for NISP, SAR, or SCI programs.
• Experience with SCIF/SAPF construction, ICD 705, access control, and intrusion detection platforms.
• Ability to manage large projects or processes beyond the immediate job area.
