Consultant (Internal Audit)

What you will do

• Support proposals, budgets, timelines, project planning, and business development.
• Conduct client research, risk assessments, internal audit planning, kickoff preparation, and audit execution.
• Lead interviews with senior management, oversee engagement teams, guide junior team members, review workpapers, and prepare client reports and meetings.
• Manage engagement scope, progress, budget versus actuals, risks, issues, billing, and end-to-end engagement economics.
• Build client relationships, identify follow-on opportunities, collaborate across service lines, and contribute to thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in internal audit and AML, BSA, and OFAC compliance within a major public accounting or consulting firm, regulatory environment, or banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of IIA Standards, auditing standards and procedures, and financial services laws, rules, and regulations.
• Broad process, controls, and risk assessment capabilities, with extensive experience developing and implementing financial, operational, technology, and compliance audit programs.
• Experience managing co-sourcing and outsourcing engagements and using advanced technology and AI tools, including Tableau, Power BI, Enterprise ChatGPT, or Copilot.
• Excellent client-facing, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, flexible, and able to multitask while delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
• Industry certification such as CIA, CPA, or CAMS.
