What you will do

• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, details, and cost estimates for capital improvement, transportation, and public works projects.
• Lead storm drain, drainage infrastructure, and stormwater management design, including relocation of underground gravity-fed utilities in public rights-of-way.
• Prepare technical engineering reports and drainage studies.
• Plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of medium-to-large multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, designers, drafters, and technical staff.
• Coordinate QA/QC reviews and support technical writing and public communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional civil engineering design experience focused on public works and transportation infrastructure.
• Active Professional Engineer license in California.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience designing and coordinating the relocation of underground gravity-fed utilities within public streets and linear corridors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint.
• Technical writing, communication, public presentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced transportation engineering experience involving transit systems, municipal streets, and active transportation corridors.
• Experience leading technical engineering teams on major transit or municipal infrastructure projects.
