Water/Wastewater Engineer

Location: Colorado Springs or Loveland, Colorado, United States. The position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Support multidisciplinary water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Work on treatment, collection, distribution, and pumping systems.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Apply hydraulic engineering principles to water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
• Travel for business-related activities using a company or personal vehicle.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least 4 years of experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including treatment, collection, distribution, and pumping systems.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain it within six months.
• Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles and water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience coordinating with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
