Finance Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in downtown Toronto, Ontario, with 3 days in the office; regular business hours, with occasional work outside normal hours during month-end close, audit season, or collaboration with remote teams.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, vendor and customer relationships, payment terms, and aging.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and actual-versus-budget reporting.
• Prepare period-close working papers, journal entries, accruals, allocations, adjustments, trial balance reviews, and intercompany transactions in NetSuite.
• Review consolidated financial statements and intercompany eliminations across entities, and calculate and report lender covenant compliance.
• Support audits, remediate control gaps, perform financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, and respond to leadership requests.
• Improve finance processes and workflows, including the practical use of AI and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a mid-level finance role.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Hands-on full-cycle accounts receivable and payable, general accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, month-end reporting, and variance analysis experience.
• Practical NetSuite experience, particularly with A/P, A/R, billing workflows, and reporting.
• Strong practical experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of AI tools for workflow, data analysis, and process improvement.
• Solid understanding of ASPE principles and multi-entity reconciliation practices.
• Professional-level English, written and verbal, is mandatory.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, executive communication, ownership, self-sufficiency, adaptability, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA designation or equivalent.
• Experience in multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments.
• Experience building AI agents or workflow automations.
• Fluency in Spanish.
