Finance Manager - Business Unit Finance (CPG)

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario; candidates must be based in Ontario and legally authorized to work full-time in Canada.

Salary: CAD 102,000–140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with Commercial Business Unit leadership and provide financial recommendations aligned with portfolio objectives.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, reporting performance against plan, prior year, and latest forecast.
• Support business model transformation, portfolio optimization, product-price architecture, and growth opportunity evaluation.
• Oversee brand performance management, new product development financials, brand P&Ls, and portfolio alignment.
• Lead marketing month-end close, forecasting, annual budgeting, and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Improve financial processes and tools while coaching and developing one Senior Financial Analyst.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in CPG or a related environment.
• CPA designation and/or MBA.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing direct reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with sound business judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations and influence cross-functional decisions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; Oracle and Power BI experience is an asset.
