Help Desk Technician (Enterprise IT)

What you will do

• Monitor system logs and applications, preferably using automation.
• Perform customer-agreed backups and data archiving.
• Harden Linux systems according to information security engineering principles and industry best practices.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, Oracle database servers, Apache servers, DNS servers, domain controllers, network storage devices, and HP servers.
• Apply patches and operating system updates, manage software licenses, support hardware and software acquisitions, and obtain customer waivers.
• Submit Discrepancy Reports and Requests for Change, coordinating with the ISSM and customer security elements.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph are required.
• 10+ years of experience in configuration management.
• Experience with Linux servers, Windows servers, Oracle database servers, DNS servers, domain controllers, network storage devices, and HP servers, individually or as part of a team.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptops.
• Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows-based domains.
• Experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle, including build pipelines, automated deployments, compliance scanning, and test-driven development.
• Experience deploying, provisioning, operating, and maintaining CentOS and Ubuntu Linux environments.
• Experience with INFOSEC and IA policies such as ICD 503 to ensure system security and data integrity.
• Experience implementing, developing, and testing automation tools and IT infrastructure; managing virtualized infrastructure; and recommending improvements to reliability, availability, and maintainability.
