Editorial Projects Intern, Wirecutter

Location: Hybrid role based in New York City

Base pay: $20 per hour

Wirecutter is an independent product recommendation service that rigorously tests and reports on products to help readers make purchasing decisions.

What you will do

• Support editorial events and initiatives, including theme weeks, deal events, and tracking new assignments.
• Generate ideas to improve editorial processes and take ownership of projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams across the 150+ person editorial organization.
• Learn from and support visual, research, and web production teams.
• Demonstrate support for journalistic independence and the mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Requirements

• Undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate student.

Nice to have

• Interest in service journalism and project management.
• High motivation and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Effective in-person and remote communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and analytical approach.
• Comfort presenting ideas and solutions to managers and colleagues.
