Audience Team Intern (Wirecutter)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York City

Salary: $20.00 per hour, $20–$20 USD

What you will do

• Support the strategy and development of hirify.global’s social media presence.
• Draft, edit, produce, and quality-assure newsletters.
• Pitch ideas for newsletters, social channels, and other off-platform audiences.
• Help distribute and expand the reach of hirify.global’s journalism.
• Coordinate copy deadlines and workflows between writers, editors, and audience team members.
• Demonstrate support for journalistic independence and the mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Requirements

• Must be an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate.

Nice to have

• Strong editorial judgment and experience writing or producing content on deadline.
• Journalism skills and experience writing for a news organization, such as a college newspaper, television station, or magazine.
• Experience with email service providers such as MailChimp or Stensul and/or social channels.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Comfort presenting ideas and solutions to managers and colleagues.
• Collaborative and creative attitude.
