DevOps Engineer (Mining)

Location: Hybrid in Wedel, Germany; 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with full on-site presence during the probationary period.

What you will do

• Develop, operate, and improve infrastructure and tools supporting software development.
• Maintain source code management, artifact management, and CI/CD platforms.
• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux- and Windows-based development infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software developers to improve automation, developer experience, and engineering workflows.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, backup strategies, security practices, operational resilience, and software development projects.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux-based systems and modern software development infrastructure.
• Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, software delivery workflows, automation, scripting, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to collaborate with software developers and technical stakeholders; strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab, Artifactory, virtualized environments, and infrastructure administration.
• Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with build systems and software development workflows for C++ applications.
• Experience with backup, monitoring, operational support, Linux and Windows server administration, infrastructure automation, configuration management, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with machine learning or data processing environments.
• German language skills.
