Senior CI/CD Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain reusable GitLab CI/CD components and templates for building, testing, scanning, packaging, and releasing software.
• Build fast, reproducible pipelines for C++ and ROS 2 codebases, including CMake, Conan, compiler caching, and cross-compilation for ARM and embedded targets.
• Automate Debian packaging, multi-architecture Docker images, semantic versioning, and release coordination for robot products.
• Integrate unit, integration, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop tests using real robots.
• Operate and scale GitLab runners on Kubernetes and AWS with x86 and arm64 support, GPU access, smart caching, and cost awareness.
• Implement supply-chain security, artifact delivery, and GitOps-based over-the-air deployments while advising robotics, AI, and cloud teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or build/release engineering, ideally in embedded, robotics, or automotive environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, including components and catalogs, parent-child and multi-project pipelines, rules, and runner administration.
• Strong experience with C++ build systems such as CMake and Conan or similar tools, plus Linux packaging.
• Experience with Docker, including multi-stage and multi-architecture builds, and Kubernetes.
• Strong Bash skills and infrastructure as code experience with tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with supply-chain security, artifact management, and OIDC-based authentication.
• Professional English is required.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly and help other engineers improve build and run practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS or ROS 2.
• Experience in an embedded, robotics, or automotive environment.
• AWS experience.
• German language skills.
