DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build and maintain development tools, cloud infrastructure, production instances, and application distribution.
• Automate development and release processes so engineering teams can ship features safely and smoothly.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu, with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
• Apply AWS security practices covering IAM, networking, and secrets in collaboration with the security team.
• Monitor production, troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and execute rolling releases such as certificate rotations and database upgrades without user interruption.
• Collaborate with Data, QA, and engineering teams on infrastructure priorities, processes, and tooling.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on AWS and Kubernetes experience in real production environments, including public-facing applications where uptime and user impact matter.
• Experience planning, running, or actively contributing to Kubernetes cluster upgrades and handling resulting regressions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Good understanding of AWS security fundamentals, including IAM, roles, and networking.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of production issues.
• Solid experience working remotely in a multidisciplinary environment, staying responsive and able to unblock yourself and others without micromanagement.
• Excellent communication skills, high emotional and professional maturity, and the ability to balance performance, budget, and time.
• Track record of high-quality work, architectural awareness, and the ability to anticipate risks and contingency needs.
• Good spoken and written English is required for daily collaboration across the international team.

Nice to have

• Managed Kafka, MSK, RDS/Postgres, Prometheus-compatible stacks such as VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or Sentry.
• Terragrunt, multi-region setups, and cloud cost optimization experience.
• Experience with infrastructure and tooling used in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, PostgreSQL, and Kafka environments.
