Cloud Service Engineer (Microsoft Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate automation using PowerShell, Azure Functions, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps.
• Engineer Entra ID and Intune configurations through the Microsoft Graph API, including users, groups, licensing, app registrations, device management, compliance, and Conditional Access.
• Build KQL queries, Log Analytics dashboards, and alerts for tenant health, compliance, and licensing monitoring.
• Integrate Entra ID and Intune with surrounding systems through APIs and design automation for enterprise-scale reliability, including throttling, batching, idempotency, and error handling.
• Implement security and compliance policies with the security team and take second-level escalations from the Service Desk.
• Set automation standards, review scripts, maintain runbooks and documentation, and share knowledge with fellow administrators.

Requirements

• Completed vocational IT training, a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Microsoft cloud engineering or administration.
• Experience building and operating Entra ID and Intune automation in large enterprise environments.
• Experience building and operating Azure automation with Azure Functions, Azure Automation, or Logic Apps.
• Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and the Graph API, including users, groups, licensing, app registrations, device management, and compliance.
• Experience with KQL and Log Analytics for reporting and monitoring.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Strong PowerShell skills and a habit of writing maintainable, documented code.
• Excellent understanding of Conditional Access and device compliance, with a structured, independent working style and strong communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English at C1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• German at B2 level or higher.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
