Senior Data Platform & DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) (GCP)

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany; hybrid work from the office or home, with work from other EU countries for up to 20 days per year and from a growing number of non-EU countries.

What you will do

• Support Solution Architecture in designing, implementing, and managing GCP cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment operations across platforms and applications.
• Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes environments using Helm and/or ArgoCD.
• Act as a subject matter expert for support, project, demand, and integration teams, translating requirements into high-quality solutions.
• Improve operational processes, deployment cycles, system reliability, and maintainable service and application code.
• Contribute to Platform as a Product, Internal Developer Platform, Agentic Development Platform, AIOps, and Autonomous Networks capabilities.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
• At least 8 years of practical experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
• At least one of: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Excellent knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GCP, Kubernetes, and containerized service operations.
• Strong expertise in GCP, AWS, Linux, and CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing, configuring, optimizing, and administering IT and network service management tools, related software and hardware, and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform, ArgoCD, and Ansible.

• Experience with Platform as a Product, Internal Developer Platforms, Agentic Development Platforms, AIOps, and Autonomous Networks.
