Head of Group FP&A

Location: London, United Kingdom — hybrid, with two days per week in the London Head Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What you will do

• Lead Group-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning, coordinating activities across Finance and business teams.
• Establish consistent planning assumptions, frameworks and governance across the Group.
• Own staff cost and operating expense budgeting and forecasting, partnering with People teams and functional leaders on headcount and cost management.
• Support strategic planning and transformation initiatives through financial analysis, recommendations and challenge of assumptions.
• Own financial content for Investor Relations, including results, investor presentations, market updates, Board papers and trading materials.
• Manage and develop a Senior FP&A Analyst while improving planning systems, reporting, controls and FP&A capabilities.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification and significant post-qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
• Senior FP&A or commercial finance leadership experience with responsibility for complex planning, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience leading annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans across multiple teams or business areas.
• Experience in a fast-paced, commercially focused business, ideally consumer-facing, ecommerce, retail or a similar environment.
• Experience working with senior leadership, challenging assumptions, influencing decisions and operating independently.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills, including the ability to identify performance drivers and translate complex data into recommendations.
• Outstanding financial storytelling and presentation skills, including preparing reports and presentations for senior leaders, Boards or external stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing finance professionals with a collaborative leadership approach.
• Strong commercial awareness, curiosity and ability to balance detailed analysis with the strategic picture.

Nice to have

• Experience in a listed business or supporting Investor Relations, financial results announcements or external market communications.
• Experience using financial planning systems such as Planful.
