Senior Data Manager (Databricks)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Acquire, clean, validate, store, protect, and develop datasets from internal and external sources.
• Develop and execute data architectures, policies, practices, and procedures across the enterprise data lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into technical data requirements and coordinate with business and IT teams.
• Prepare data for reporting and analysis, including visualizations, and derive insights that support business decisions.
• Lead projects through design, coding, code review, deployment, and completion within scope and deadlines.
• Identify process improvements, document processes, perform root cause analysis, and resolve business or data issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of technical experience in data analysis using ETL tools and developing ETL solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience using Databricks.
• Experience in a SQL environment with comprehensive knowledge of SSMS and SSIS.
• Extensive experience developing stored procedures and dynamic SQL.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or related platforms, and Power Platforms including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
• Experience making complex data accessible, understandable, and usable for leaders; leading projects through the full lifecycle; and working with deadlines and customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem solving, business or data issue resolution, presentations, and progress demonstrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, independent work capability, confidentiality, curiosity, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Healthcare or managed care experience.
• Experience implementing scalable and maintainable dimensional data models, Azure Data Factory, and automated data architectures.
• Experience providing architecture guidance for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Modern BI architectures using Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks.
