Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote - United States; New York, NY. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship and authorized to start in the U.S. on the first day.

Base salary: $188,000–$235,000 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI-native products from prototypes to scalable production services.
• Architect, build, and productionize core AI platform components, including LLMs, vector databases, prompt tuning, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop agent capabilities such as MCP, cross-platform tool use, web browsing, and computer use.
• Enforce technical discipline and operational excellence across AI products.
• Iterate on AI products using performance metrics and user feedback, and evaluate new AI technologies and frameworks.
• Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate strategic goals into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Expertise with Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience owning and shipping complex, production-grade systems.
• Experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products or features, or significant personal AI projects demonstrating equivalent passion.
• Strong ownership mindset and demonstrated ability to carry projects through completion while raising execution standards.
• Bias for action and ability to ship rapidly and iterate using feedback.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Specific experience with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, LangChain, or MLflow.
• Advanced understanding of the probabilistic systems underpinning modern LLMs.
• Experience building AI products in highly accuracy-sensitive domains such as finance.
