Senior Technical IT Storage Engineer (NetApp)

What you will do

• Analyze, design, test, implement, and automate technical IT storage solutions.
• Provide production monitoring, storage capacity management, and storage ecosystem support.
• Support data backup and recovery management, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery testing.
• Design and implement storage architectures aligned with enterprise goals, governance, quality, and security standards.
• Gather requirements with IT, product, analytics, and business stakeholders and deliver viable technical storage implementations.
• Document technical processes, participate in reviews and knowledge sharing, mentor associate and intermediate engineers, and report progress and risks to leadership.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions, including production support and delivery within scope, schedules, and budgets.
• At least 5 years of technical problem-solving, solution implementation, and team or project collaboration experience.
• At least 5 years of knowledge of computer science fundamentals, common operating systems, and development languages or scripting.
• Experience managing enterprise technology platforms and infrastructure and designing solutions for healthcare or equivalent large industries.
• Ability to translate requirements, design mockups, prototypes, or user stories into viable technical implementations.
• Ability to produce fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable solutions; define system architectures; evaluate technical trade-offs; and apply governance, quality, and security best practices.
• Understanding of GCP, Azure, and AWS cloud platforms and their storage services.
• Experience with storage administration, NetApp technologies including AFF/FAS, ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapLock, SnapCenter, StorageGRID, ARP, and ActiveIQ, and protocols including NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and FC SAN.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, teamwork, ownership, adaptability, and technical communication skills, including the ability to develop automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with CommVault Backup & Recovery, Cisco MDS, VMware SRM, Windows Clustering, Ansible, GitLab, NetApp ONTAP Cloud Volumes, Fpolicy, certificate management, Linux, fundamental networking, and storage integrations with ServiceNow, Dynatrace, or other third-party tools.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
