Director Infrastructure and Cloud

Location: Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, United States; other locations include Baltimore, Maryland; Hartford, Connecticut; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Portland, Maine; Nashville, Tennessee; and Kansas City, Missouri.

Salary: $160,300–$240,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive award.

What you will do

• Lead the infrastructure and cloud hosting team and deliver current and future IT infrastructure and cloud services.
• Oversee O365, Active Directory/LDAP, Windows and Linux servers, Azure and AWS hosting, virtualization, physical hardware, storage, backups, VDI, and desktop engineering.
• Partner with infrastructure and cloud architects to design scalable, compatible, documented, inventoried, and compliant solutions.
• Establish KPIs, technical measurements, performance targets, and SLAs; manage capacity, spend, licenses, contracts, and technical services budgets.
• Ensure disaster recovery is implemented and tested for critical business services and improve security, operational performance, and support processes.
• Lead technical implementation projects, personnel management, career development, and knowledge transfer with the Network Operations Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 10 years of leadership experience in a multi-site enterprise infrastructure organization.
• Experience with direct supervision, staff development, outsourced services, and service providers.
• Required foundational cloud certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner and/or Azure Fundamentals; higher-level certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge across multiple technology disciplines, including Microsoft and Unix technologies, Citrix and VMware virtualization, data protection, storage, EMC SAN, and cloud-tiered storage administration.
• Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud stacks, particularly in hosting, as well as systems and data security.
• Understanding of computer operations, customer service principles, computer systems, and related support requirements.
• Self-directed, accountable, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of critical thinking, decision-making, delegation, and priority management.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills, including the ability to present visually.

Nice to have

• ITIL or ITSM certification demonstrating operational discipline.
• PMP certification.
