Project Manager, Professional Services (Public Sector)

Location: New York City, New York, United States; hybrid work with attendance at the assigned office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $125,500–$140,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of public-sector customer projects from initiation through closeout using predictive, Agile, or hybrid delivery methods.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, success measures, acceptance criteria, timelines, resources, and budgets in line with Statements of Work.
• Manage project health, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, actions, scope changes, requirements, client expectations, and change orders.
• Maintain accurate project plans, resourcing, financials, milestones, deliverables, and documentation in the designated PSA tool, with monthly and quarterly reconciliation.
• Provide project, portfolio, utilization, financial, and progress reporting to customers, hirify.global Consulting leaders, and executives.
• Lead cross-functional consultants, align customer objectives with the hirify.global roadmap, and use approved AI tools and automation to improve analysis, reporting, productivity, and project artifacts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in consulting, project management, or B2B SaaS.
• Experience working with public-sector customers, including federal or state and local government organizations.
• Customer-focused project leadership experience with diverse stakeholders and changing project environments.
• Ability to own customer outcomes, motivate cross-functional consultants, communicate clearly with executive leadership, and navigate difficult conversations.
• Ability to manage approximately 10 concurrent projects while maintaining organized, reliable records and follow-through.
• Experience assessing project health, managing financial standing, and aligning scope and timelines with contractual commitments such as Statements of Work or Change Orders.
• Experience leading projects with predictive, Agile, or hybrid methods according to project context.
• Experienced power user of project management tools such as Kantata, SmartSheet, or MS Project, plus communication and productivity tools such as Slack and Google Calendar.
• Ability and interest in using approved AI tools and automation thoughtfully to reduce administrative effort and improve project deliverables.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PRINCE2, PMI-CPMAI, Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or comparable project management or Agile certification.
