Associate Principal Engineer - Senior Project Manager (Public Sector)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $150K–$175K gross base plus bonuses, with standard benefits.

What you will do

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery in line with PMP best practices.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources, scope, and delivery for fixed-price and public sector projects.
• Serve as the primary client contact and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, status meetings, progress reporting, risks, issues, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and government regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project management practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project management experience, including project leadership and applying project management methodologies.
• Hands-on experience managing fixed-price or fixed-bid projects with full accountability for scope, budget, and delivery.
• Strong experience leading end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery aligned with PMP best practices.
• Experience managing complex timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and change management.
• Ability to act as the primary client contact and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree.
• Experience delivering projects in public sector environments.
• Exposure to account management and business development activities.
