Cloud Financial Operations Analyst (Cloud)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; must have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build technology cost and usage reporting, including chargeback and showback, and investigate straightforward data differences.
• Modify scripts, queries, scheduled jobs, and reporting tools using version control, basic tests, and approved AI-assisted practices with verification.
• Maintain cost-visibility tools, notifications, and routine workflows by following runbooks, checking results, documenting issues, and supporting troubleshooting.
• Perform financial-data checks, account and profile mapping updates, and maintain records of changes, evidence, and unresolved questions.
• Organize data for engineering-related financial workflows, track purchase requests and invoices, and route exceptions to reviewers.
• Document recurring tasks, suggest improvements that reduce manual effort, and collaborate with internal customers to clarify requests and raise risks.

Requirements

• Foundational programming or scripting experience from coursework, personal projects, internships, or work, including reading code, making a small change, and explaining the result.
• Basic experience with structured data, such as SQL queries or spreadsheets, including checking for missing, inconsistent, or unexpected values.
• Exposure to technology cost reporting, chargeback or showback, or basic financial-data reconciliation.
• Foundational understanding of software testing, debugging, and version control, with experience following repeatable processes and requesting review.
• Examples of clearly documenting technical work, communicating progress or problems, and collaborating with others.
• Examples of learning unfamiliar tools or processes, applying feedback, and taking responsibility for work accuracy.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• CPA, PMP, or another certification.
• Experience with TypeScript or Python, SQL-based analysis, APIs, or scheduled jobs.
• Familiarity with a public-cloud service, monitoring tools, or approved AI-assisted development through study or a small project.
