Production Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Georgetown, Kentucky, United States; onsite production engineering role.

What you will do

• Develop and manage systems and processes for Unit Weld or Plastics shops to maintain vehicle and process integrity.
• Lead quality, productivity, safety, environmental sustainability, material usage, cost, and equipment-performance improvements.
• Support change point management and the introduction of new equipment, processes, and materials while monitoring KPIs.
• Manage equipment enhancement and refurbishment projects, including schedules, budgets, open issues, and process changes.
• Analyze process and equipment problems using systematic methods and communicate root causes and solutions to management.
• Provide daily operational support and collaborate with Production Group Leaders, Managers, and support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a similar technical field, or 5 years of equivalent professional experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Ariba for procurement.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
• Experience managing manufacturing or process-improvement KPIs covering safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Experience leading major equipment or shop-level changepoints, including project schedules, budgets, and open issues.
• Must have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or employment-visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Digital Engineering.
• AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD experience, including reading, interpreting, and modifying 2D and 3D drawings.
• PLC programming experience, including Ladder Logic troubleshooting and programming changes.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Previous VPM experience, TBP completion through panel review, and understanding of hirify.global Way problem-solving principles, including TPS, TBP, Hoshin, OJD, and JIT.
