Production Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Hartland, Wisconsin, United States; on-site

Salary: $116,000–$174,000 annual; bonus and/or incentive eligible

What you will do

• Manage planning, engineering assignments, productivity projects, operating procedures, and process improvements from concept through production.
• Investigate operations and production practices, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement changes that improve operational productivity.
• Develop and enhance processes and procedures; modify product designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• Partner with management and business leaders to assess engineering feasibility, product demand, cost effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage project budgets, estimates, milestones, capital expenditure analysis, operating cost forecasts, and budget requests.
• Lead and develop staff, including hiring, performance reviews, training, work assignment, personnel planning, and consistent policy application; provide subject matter expertise across multiple locations and potentially internationally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience demonstrating technical writing, research paper writing, and/or experimental design experience.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the design and production of goods and services.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing and distribution.
• ERP systems knowledge and experience.
• Intermediate computer and systems skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to adapt to change and workplace variety, develop creative solutions, work carefully and thoroughly, take on responsibilities, and lead, take charge, and provide direction.
