Data Analyst (SAP/Databricks)

Location: Remote in the United States, with occasional travel to and work at the Andover, MA office for meetings, training, or as required.

Salary: $104,000–$117,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and reporting requirements across business functions.
• Translate requirements into data, analytics, and reporting solutions.
• Analyze SAP business processes and data structures, and validate and reconcile analytics data against SAP and non-SAP source systems.
• Perform data quality assessments, root cause analysis, and source-to-target mapping.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Reporting Teams on conceptual, logical, and physical enterprise data models.
• Support data warehouse modernization, UAT, business validation, production deployment, governance, and resolution of reporting issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Consultant, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data structures and business processes, including MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and FI/CO.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, business processes, and functional specifications.
• Hands-on experience validating and reconciling reporting and analytics data with ERP source systems.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses and analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and data governance principles.
• Ability to analyze requirements from both SAP and non-SAP perspectives and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, business users, and technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/HANA, or similar SAP analytics platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for complex analysis, validation, profiling, troubleshooting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, or cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and fact and dimension design principles.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira.
