Data and Analytics Analyst (SQL/SAS)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama, United States; applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $59,466–$78,400 USD annually; not incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Prepare readable reports, visual reports, and presentations for stakeholders and management.
• Interpret and analyze data to identify operational impacts, trends, and opportunities.
• Perform data analysis to support automation and answer business data questions through standard and ad-hoc reports.
• Create and maintain databases for information classification and storage.
• Conduct data quality audits, data mining, and data management to support compliance.
• Partner with the centralized Data Governance team on data governance and data quality requirements, while monitoring analytics trends and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in one of these fields plus two years of experience in data analytics or a related role.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, work ethic, and self-motivation.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of business intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI.
