Senior AI Engineer

hirify.global is building a connected restaurant management system that combines sales, reservations, kitchen preparation, payments, and operational data for hospitality businesses.

What you will do

• Design, ship, operate, evaluate, and scale production AI agents with orchestration, tool and function calling, memory, multi-step reasoning, and backend integrations.
• Build real-time and batch data pipelines, retrieval layers, and well-modeled datasets over financial and operational data.
• Turn APIs and internal services into defined agent tools and own the contracts between agents and the platform.
• Develop agent evaluation through offline datasets, LLM-as-judge, human review, regression testing, and feedback loops.
• Own production observability by tracing sessions, tool calls, and model calls while tracking latency, cost, errors, and quality.
• Partner with product teams to identify valuable customer and internal workflows, while implementing guardrails, access controls, and protection against prompt injection and data leakage.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in data or ML engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM agents to production, including handling unreliable tool calls, runaway loops, hallucinated arguments, and token budgets.
• Strong data modeling and data warehousing fundamentals, including ingestion, transformation, and data quality.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with pipeline tools such as Airflow or dbt and analytical or cloud data platforms such as ClickHouse, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Experience evaluating and monitoring LLM systems across experimentation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
• Backend engineering skills for building APIs that expose agent output or services used as agent tools.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain trade-offs among latency, cost, accuracy, and complexity to product partners.
• Product mindset and willingness to meet customers face to face to understand their needs.
• Production agent-building experience is required; experience limited to using AI agents for personal workflows is unsuitable.
