Ground Software Engineer - Core (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Evaluate and implement technologies and software patterns for Loft's software stack.
• Lead the creation and evolution of AI tooling for development, code review, and spacecraft anomaly investigation.
• Develop central ground-platform functionality, including workflow automation, microservice communication, and metrics.
• Own the reliability and performance of platform infrastructure, including message queues, CI/CD, and observability.
• Participate in SatDevOps rotations, investigating anomalies and supporting real-time incident response when needed.
• Collaborate with software engineers and satellite operators to deliver consistent, maintainable, and performant software.

Requirements

• Solid backend software development experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of deployment and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to define and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Attach a copy of the resume in English for review by people across Loft's offices.

Nice to have

• Python development, particularly with Django.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Graphene.
• Experience with message queues and streaming technologies such as NATS.
• Knowledge of DevOps and observability tools, including Helm, Terraform, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Familiarity with AI tooling.
• Frontend development with Vue and Web Components.
