Senior Software Engineer (Go/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in North America, with a strong preference for candidates in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone

Base salary: $189,000–$231,000 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

hirify.global builds an enterprise AI control plane for running, governing, and securing AI agents through MCP servers and an AI gateway across Kubernetes and private cloud environments. Its platform is built on the open-source ToolHive project, with contributions to the official MCP registry.

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, production deployment, and ongoing improvement of hirify.global Enterprise platform subsystems.
• Write production Go code for commercial software running in customer Kubernetes environments, including observability, testing, and error handling.
• Make design tradeoffs with product and engineering leadership and mentor engineers.
• Work directly with customers to operationalize the Enterprise Platform, diagnose issues, and turn feedback into product improvements.
• Contribute to the open-source ToolHive codebase and collaborate with community contributors.
• Apply AI-assisted development workflows and build reusable tooling and playbooks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go and a proven record of designing and shipping complete production-grade distributed systems as part of a commercial software product.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes in production, ideally across customer cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience mentoring engineers, driving code reviews, and improving team work quality.
• Experience working directly with customers to onboard them, debug products in their environments, and drive fixes into the codebase.
• Experience integrating AI tools into development practices and turning AI-assisted workflows into repeatable team velocity gains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for explaining complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-directed, hands-on approach and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments.

• Experience working across different customer cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
