Software Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; must be based in Cincinnati and comfortable working onsite with customers.

What you will do

• Own strategic customer projects from technical discovery through production deployment and success measurement.
• Build and deploy complex system integrations, backend services, data pipelines, and AI product features.
• Integrate with enterprise systems including data lakes, identity management and access controls, PLM, and ERP solutions.
• Set up CoLab integrations and organize incoming data for features such as AutoReview and Operator.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand needs, propose solutions, and guide adoption.
• Deliver targeted customer solutions while sharing customer requirements and learnings with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Based in Cincinnati and comfortable working onsite with customers.
• Experience delivering complex technical solutions when requirements were not clearly defined.
• Ability to write clean, production-grade code in a variety of languages; language-agnostic approach.
• Comfort working in unfamiliar technical and organizational environments.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as data lakes, identity providers, PLM, and ERP.
• Ability to break down ambiguity, sequence work, and adjust scope without losing momentum.
• Confidence leading deeply technical conversations with customer engineering and IT teams.
• Outcome-focused, adaptable, and able to work with a “go figure it out” mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience embedding within customer environments during enterprise SaaS deployments.
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered features.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering data, processes, or systems.
• Experience with API-first products or developer platforms.
