Director, Product Design (AI)

Location: Remote USA

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 per year; actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Set product vision and guide strategic decisions around product design and experience.
• Design new features and enhance existing products across iOS, Android, websites, and internal tools.
• Establish scalable UX/UI patterns and contribute across the lifecycle from information architecture and user journeys to development handoff.
• Lead product design workstreams, break larger projects into tractable parts, and guide projects toward design excellence.
• Balance team leadership and hands-on design as the most senior practitioner.
• Partner with Strategy, Production, Development, clients, and executive stakeholders to align business and consumer needs.

Requirements

• Extensive product design and interaction design experience in an agency or related environment, including native iOS and Android applications, websites, and internal tools.
• Experience leading UX and UI workstreams across the full product design lifecycle, from early-stage definition through shipping.
• Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with senior-level clients and presenting to executive leadership.
• Experience delivering user-focused solutions across categories such as financial services, telecommunications, and consumer technology.
• Experience working in agile product design and development models.
• Experience managing and mentoring product designers from junior to senior levels.
• Fluency with AI tools in design workflows, including designing AI-enabled features, vibe coding, and rapid prototyping.
