Junior Database Administrator (Oracle)

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Assist with administration, installation, configuration, patching, maintenance, and disaster recovery for Oracle 19c high-availability databases.
• Create and maintain tables, indexes, triggers, accounts, database scripts, documentation, and data dictionary information.
• Support near-zero-downtime upgrades, monitor performance, logs, disk space, bottlenecks, and security risks.
• Perform SQL code review and analysis, and build ad hoc queries.
• Collaborate with application developers, database and systems administrators, content management, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide Level II customer support through phone, email, and ServiceNow, including support outside normal business hours when required.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
• 4+ years of experience writing SQL queries for Oracle databases.
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
• Experience creating database tables, indexes, and constraints.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with Toad and Cloud Control/Grid Control.
